Eight of the best teams Division I softball has to offer head to the Sooner state with hopes of winning the Women's College World Series and the national title.

The festivities in Oklahoma City begin this week, and among the games slated to take place Thursday is a SEC battle between No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 7 Tennessee.

The Sooners (50-7) booked their ticket to yet another trip to Oklahoma City with a clean sweep of SEC foe Alabama at the Norman super regional. Oklahoma once again stands at least five wins away from the national title, which would be its fifth straight.

The Volunteers (45-15) earned their trip to the WCWS with a series win over unseeded Nebraska at the Knoxville super regional. Tennessee hopes to play spoiler Thursday and make Oklahoma's march to the trophy a bit trickier.
