Vikings' QB J.J. McCarthy's viral 5-interception video is not what it seems
J.J. McCarthy is in the spotlight at Minnesota Vikings training camp.
After missing his entire rookie regular season due to injury, he's stepping in as the unquestioned starter for a good football team that needs its quarterback to deliver.
That creates the potential for a little bit of hysteria, apparently.
A video is circulating, claiming that McCarthy had a five-interception day at training camp.
And, well, he didn't.
The Athletic's Alec Lewis, a beat reporter for the Vikings, cleared that up on X:
3.7 million people have watched this video from last year and potentially read this made-up statistic. How many will fact-check? What a platform, what a world. https://t.co/5rHJJpHpxK

But here we are.
Just be sure to check on key information before just believing it outright.
