Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno, who previously took a break to participate in the Olympics, played a crucial role by winning the decisive match despite initially losing the first game. They concluded their collegiate partnership undefeated over four years. The Horned Frogs ended the season with a remarkable 12-game winning streak. Loyola Marymount had a strong run, eliminating top-seeded UCLA and fifth-seeded USC in the tournament but ultimately fell short in the finals.

TCU's triumph in the NCAA women's beach volleyball championship marked a significant milestone as they became the first non-California school to clinch the title, defeating Loyola Marymount 3-2 in the final match.

Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno, pivotal to TCU's success, overcame a first-game loss to secure the final match, showcasing their resilience and skill by winning the next two games 21-15 and 15-6.

Alvarez and Moreno, who had taken a year off to compete in the Olympics, returned to the collegiate scene and remained undefeated throughout their four-year partnership.

TCU's championship victory was bolstered by the performances of other team members, including Sofia Izuzquizal and Allanis Navas, as well as Anhelina Khmil and Ana Vergara, who both contributed crucial points with straight-set victories.
