Evander Kane scored a crucial goal to tie the game at 4, which was initially scrutinized for goalie interference, but the ruling stood after review, giving the Oilers a power play.

Evan Bouchard capitalized on the ensuing power play, scoring just 10 seconds after Kane, assisted by Leon Draisaitl, to put the Oilers ahead with 6:32 left in the game.

The Oilers' offensive strength was on full display with Bouchard and Connor Brown each scoring twice, complemented by goals from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid.

Calvin Pickard was instrumental in goal for Edmonton, making 25 saves against a persistent Kings offense that included goals from Adrian Kempe, Kevin Fiala, Drew Doughty, and Trevor Moore.

Despite stopping 29 shots, Los Angeles goalie Darcy Kuemper could not fend off the Oilers' relentless attack, leading to the Kings' defeat and a tighter series lead.

The failed goalie interference challenge by Los Angeles not only upheld Kane's goal but also awarded Edmonton a power play, which proved decisive in the Oilers' victory.

The series continues with Game 4 set to take place in Edmonton, where the Oilers will aim to even the series against the Kings.
