Liverpool star's 'favorite destination' revealed as player makes transfer decision
Federico Chiesa’s time at Anfield could be over before it ever truly began.
Despite the recent reported departure of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich, Chiesa is still eyeing an exit from Liverpool this summer.
The Italian winger apparently wants to return home, and Serie A remains his preferred landing spot. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chiesa has already informed his agent of his decision.

Chiesa joined the Reds from Juventus last year in what looked like a steal — roughly $13 million with modest add-ons. But after a slow start, limited minutes, and a minor injury this preseason, the 27-year-old has struggled to make a mark.
He recently found the net against Stoke City in a behind-closed-doors friendly, but a muscle issue saw him miss Liverpool’s Asia tour.
With Arne Slot unable to offer regular starts, Chiesa is looking for a fresh start — one with more playing time and a familiar league.

Why Liverpool could sell Federico Chiesa after Luis Diaz exit?
Luis Diaz’s move to Bayern was a surprise twist in Liverpool’s summer, especially after the club had reportedly offered him a new contract. But with the Colombian gone, fans might have expected Chiesa to get a bigger role.
That doesn’t seem to be the case.
Cody Gakpo remains Slot’s top choice on the left wing, with Rio Ngumoha impressing in preseason. The Reds are also expected to go hard for Alexander Isak, a pure striker who could change their attack entirely.
Atalanta, AC Milan, and Roma are all keeping tabs on Chiesa. If Ademola Lookman leaves Atalanta — as expected — they could make a formal bid.
The Reds, meanwhile, are open to selling the winger for a profit.
As Chiesa put it last month: “The year is over, but it’s an experience I would do again. Soon, I will sit down at the table with the club, [agent] Fali [Ramadani] and my family to find the best solution.”
