The group was leaving a post-party when tragedy struck. Sources confirm that Sperbeck fell off the back of the moving golf cart, rolling and hitting his head on the asphalt, resulting in a traumatic brain injury.

According to eyewitnesses who spoke with TMZ, Elway, who was present at the scene, immediately called 911 after the accident. Paramedics arrived to find Sperbeck unconscious but still breathing. The 61-year-old was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where doctors attempted to stabilize him.

While it's been reported that Elway may have been driving the cart, no official confirmation has been made.
