Jets trade star offensive player in wild prediction

The New York Jets are in a new era.

After sending head coach, Robert Saleh and general manager, Joe Douglas packing during the season, the Jets continued their housecleaning when they parted ways with Aaron Rodgers after the future Hall of Fame quarterback started just one season with the club after tearing his Achilles during the first game of the season during the 2023-2024 season.

This off-season, the Jets named former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator, Aaron Glenn as the club's next head coach and signed Justin Fields to a two-year, $40 million deal to be Glenn's starting quarterback.

While adding Fields to an offense with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall certainly sounds intriguing, Hall's pending potential contract issues have started up the rumor mill on if the club will decide to give the reigns over to a pair of 2024 mid-round picks in fourth-round selection, Braelon Allen, and fifth-round pick, Isaiah Davis.

According to Sports Illustrated's Conor Orr, the Jets are predicted to send their star tailback to a running back-needy team such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, or Houston Texans.

"A handful of running back-needy teams—the Bengals, Chiefs, Texans and Cowboys—will get through camp and search to upgrade at the position, while the Jets will seek to pair Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis with a veteran still on the market who is looking to sign closer to the start of the regular season. Maybe Aaron Glenn’s former player, Jamaal Williams?"

Since being selected 36th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, Hall has been the featured back in the Jets' backfield upon his arrival in 'The Big Apple.'

In his 34 career starts, Hall has rushed for 2,333 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 1,292 yards and eight touchdowns receiving, proving his high-level versatility.
