Bill Belichick's girlfriend Jordon Hudson releases email criticizing promotion of new book after CBS interview
Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick's girlfriend, publicly shared an email criticizing the media's focus on Belichick's mistakes in his upcoming memoir, 'The Art of Winning.' During a CBS interview, Belichick faced tough questions about his relationship with Patriots' owner Robert Kraft, which he described as a 'mutual decision,' contrasting with Kraft's claim of Belichick being 'fired.' The interview also featured an awkward moment when Hudson interrupted to stop a discussion about how she met Belichick. Belichick and Hudson's relationship, which began in 2023, became public in 2024, with Hudson becoming more involved in the Tar Heels football program after Belichick's move to UNC. The book promotion controversy highlights Belichick's frustration with media emphasis on his errors rather than his achievements in his extensive coaching career.

During a CBS interview, Belichick was questioned about his relationship with Robert Kraft, the Patriots owner, whom he did not mention in his book, leading to a contentious exchange about whether his departure was mutual or a firing.
An awkward moment occurred during the same interview when Hudson interjected to shut down a question about how she met Belichick, leaving the interviewer Tony Dokoupil momentarily stunned.
Belichick and Hudson have been dating since 2023, and their relationship became public in 2024, with Hudson actively engaging with the UNC Tar Heels football program after Belichick's coaching transition.
Belichick's email to his book publishers expressed disappointment over an article highlighting his mistakes, particularly a Super Bowl error, rather than his successes across his long NFL coaching career.
Hudson's release of the email and her actions during the interview underscore the couple's dissatisfaction with the portrayal of Belichick's career in the media.
The CBS interview was part of a promotional effort for Belichick's memoir, which also touched on his father's advice, Tom Brady, and other personal insights from his coaching tenure.
Bill Belichick had some concerns ahead of his CBS interview that aired on Sunday, and his girlfriend just made them available on the internet.
On Tuesday, Jordon Hudson posted a screenshot of an email sent by Belichick slamming the promotion of his new book on Instagram. The soon-to-be-released memoir, "The Art of Winning," was discussed heavily in the sit-down with CBS's Tony Dokoupil.
A viral moment involving Hudson also occurred near the end of the interview, when she interjected to shut down a discussion of how she met the former Patriots head coach. Dokoupil seemed stunned before moving on to his next question.

Bill Belichick email
Hudson released a screenshot of an email Belichick sent to what seems to be his book publishers on Thursday, April 10. He appears to discuss a recent article written about the book, saying that while he believes the publicity will be good, he does not like that it focuses on one of his shortcomings as opposed to his successes from a nearly 50-year coaching career in the NFL.

"This is about what I expected from the media," Belichick wrote in the email. "We went through how important it was for me to put, 'I f—ed up' in the book, and of course, that is the feature of this article - which is mostly about admitting mistakes and talking about a Super Bowl mistake. I am fine with putting mistakes in the book, but I am certainly not surprised that of 260+ pages, that is what they would highlight."
The CBS interview provided more critical coverage of the memoir. Dokoupil asked a number of hard-hitting questions, including some about the six-time Super Bowl champion's relationship with Patriots' owner Robert Kraft, after the team and Belichick parted ways in 2023.
Bill Belichick interview
There were a number of contentious moments during Belichick's interview with CBS on Sunday. The questioning about Kraft stemmed from the fact that the coach does not mention the owner, with whom he worked with for 23 years, anywhere in the book.
Belichick stumbled over his words when asked about the end of his relationship with Kraft in New England, calling it a "mutual decision." Dokoupil insisted Kraft used the word "fired" when discussing the termination of the pairing. The exchange occurs at roughly the 5-minute mark in the clip below.
