Barcelona emerge as favourites to land Swedish wonderkid
Barcelona have stepped up their activity in the summer transfer window on the back of completing a deal for Joan Garcia from Espanyol.
The Catalan giants are now working overtime to wrap up the signing of Athletic Bilbao attacker Nico Williams and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano is also reporting they are chasing down FC Copenhagen winger Roony Bardghji.
As per Romano's update, negotiations are now into the final stages, and the 19-year-old is expected to complete his move to the Camp Nou before the end of June.
Bardghji is out of contract in Copenhagen in December 2025, and the teenager is rumoured to have told the club he will not renew, and could move on for a nominal transfer fee.
According rumours from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are confident a €2m [$2.2m] to €3m [$3.5m] bid will be enough to prise out the Swedish starlet from Denmark.
The winger's 2025 performances have attracted interest from across Europe. But the Swede is edging towards Barcelona. He's reportedly a childhood Barcelona fan and wants the opportunity to play there.

The 2022/23 season saw him take the next step for Copenhagen, scoring 10 goals in 34 matches across competitions. However, he suffered an ACL injury and missed the majority of the 2024/25 season but his recovery has been smooth.
If his move to Barcelona materialises, it will be interesting to see how he copes with the pressure in Catalonia, especially after returning a lengthy absence.
Competition is fierce in Hansi Flick's wide areas, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha as first-choice, backed up by Ferran Torres and Fermin Lopez and potentially Williams in 2025/26.
