A Minnesota gubernatorial candidate has ended his campaign after his 22-year-old daughter was found stabbed to death inside her apartment, authorities confirmed.

Hallie Marie Tobler was discovered deceased on Saturday, February 7, after officers with the St. Cloud Police Department responded to a reported medical emergency at her residence. Police said she was found inside a locked apartment, where she had suffered fatal stab wounds.

Her husband, 23-year-old Dylan Michael Tobler, was also found inside the home with what investigators believe were self-inflicted stab wounds. He was transported for medical treatment and remains in police custody in stable condition.
