Donald Trump Jr. Weds Bettina Anderson in the Bahamas

President Donald Trump's oldest son has tied the knot once again. Donald Trump Jr. married Bettina Anderson over Memorial Day weekend. According to a marriage license filed in Palm Beach County, Florida, the pair were legally married on Thursday, May 21, before heading to the Bahamas for the international ceremony. This is a normal procedure when a wedding is held overseas.

The pair confirmed the nuptials on Saturday. President Trump announced on Friday that he would not be attending the wedding, noting that he needed to stay back in Washington, D.C. to deal with government business.

Trump Jr. announced his engagement to Anderson at a White House holiday party last December. The two were engaged at Camp David, the historic presidential retreat in Maryland.

The festivities kicked off last month when Anderson had her bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. The lavish affair was held at the resort's ballroom. Among the hundreds of guests in attendance were Erika Kirk, the president's ex-wife Marla Maples, and designer Stacey Bendet. Attendees received a variety of gifts, including Mutha eye patches, skincare products, a porcelain teacup, Alice + Olivia cardigans, and Lafco candles.

This is Trump Jr.'s second marriage. His marriage to former model Vanessa Trump ended in 2018. They share five children, ranging in age from 11 to 19 years old. Vanessa Trump is currently in a relationship with professional golfer Tiger Woods. She made news this week when she announced on social media that she is battling breast cancer.

Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump remained tight after their divorce, co-parenting five children together. The two were recently pictured celebrating their oldest daughter, Kai, at her 19th birthday party, her senior prom, and her graduation.

Anderson is a model and socialite who primarily lives in Palm Beach. She is the daughter of the late Harry Loy Anderson Jr. and Inger Anderson. Bettina Anderson attended Columbia University, choosing to live in New York City for a few years after her schooling. She is most known for the nonprofit she started with her brothers. She also helps to head up the Project Paradise Film Fund, putting a spotlight on and funding conservation stories.

The 39-year-old also considered herself to be a social media influencer, regularly posting links to her favorite products and designer wardrobe.

About the Wedding

While Anderson had originally expressed an interest in getting married at the White House, it was reported that her groom was not in support of this idea. President Trump also told his closest allies that he thought that the wedding would be bad optics given the ongoing war with Iran.

The couple instead decided to hold the ceremony on an island in the Bahamas. It is being reported that the newlyweds may hold a celebration later this year at the White House.

The exclusive ceremony had a guest list of fewer than 50 guests, primarily made up of family and close friends. Extra security had to be put in place at the last minute after the location was leaked to the press. While it has not been confirmed, it was reported that the guest list included Trump Jr.'s siblings, Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump, as well as their spouses. All of Trump Jr.'s five children were also scheduled to attend.  

Trump Jr. had recently been engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle. A close ally of the president, she is now serving as U.S. ambassador to Greece.  The pair split quietly after being engaged for four years. It was not long after that Trump Jr. was spotted with Anderson at the presidential inaugural balls following the 2024 election.
