Following his dismissal, Trump ordered the Justice Department to investigate Krebs and stripped him of any remaining security clearances. Trump signed an order on April 9 to punish Krebs in various ways, despite no evidence of wrongdoing. Chris Krebs says he was kicked off CBP’s Global Entry

Chris Krebs, who served as the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency during the Trump administration, had his Global Entry membership revoked, which he perceives as potential retaliation.

Krebs played a significant role in affirming the security of the 2020 election, earning bipartisan praise but provoking Trump's anger due to Trump's false claims about election fraud.

On April 9, President Trump signed an executive order targeting Krebs with punitive measures, including an investigation by the Justice Department, although there is no evidence of any criminal behavior by Krebs.

Despite his contributions to election security, Trump removed any security clearances Krebs might have retained after leaving office and initiated actions against him.

In statements to the media, Trump labeled Krebs as a disappointment and a disgrace, asserting that he barely knows Krebs while maintaining a critical stance against his performance.
