Hennepin County authorities indicated that charges would be filed against four people connected to the protest, including three linked to assaulting a journalist and a deputy, and one tied to obstruction with force against a deputy.
Savanah Hernandez, a TPUSA Frontlines reporter, said she intends to pursue charges against those accused of attacking her while she covered the ICE facility protest in Minneapolis, where she was confronted by a family identified as Paige Ostroushko and her parents, Chris and DeYanna.
Video footage captured law enforcement arresting Ostroushko as she appears surprised and attempts to flee, while Hernandez described needing sheriff’s assistance to reach safety after mob violence at the scene.
Ostroushko, who uses the moniker “MN Angry Daughter” online, posted a video portraying Hernandez as the aggressor and calling Hernandez a profane name, a claim that has been contested; Ostroushko’s Instagram reportedly was deactivated afterward.
Hernandez later posted that she woke with a headache and stiff neck the following day, sharing an additional angle showing Chris Ostroushko shoving her to the ground, with bystanders restraining the man.
Independent journalist Breanna Morello cited the sheriff’s office, which confirmed that charges would be filed in connection with the incident and emphasized the investigation remained active.
Hernandez remarked on social media that she looked forward to the charges being pursued through the legal process, highlighting the ongoing nature of the case and ongoing efforts to secure accountability.
