If you don’t know, Split Fiction “blends fantasy and science fiction, following a pair of authors, Mio and Zoe, who become trapped in the worlds they wrote.” The video game is a “co-op adventure game that features gameplay mechanics involving split-screen combat, platforming challenges and differing abilities for each character.”
Per Variety, it’s unclear at this time if Sydney will portray Mio or Zoe.
In addition to Wicked: For Good, Jon M Chu also has adaptations of Dr. Seuss‘ “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” and Britney Spears‘ “The Woman In Me” books in the works, as well as a film adaptation of the musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
For Sydney, she has several projects in the pipeline that have either already been filmed or are still in the works, including The Housemaid , the Christy Martin biopic, a Gundam live-action movie and the upcoming Apple TV+ feature Echo Valley. She’s also currently filming the third and final season of Euphoria.
It was also reported this week that Sydney is producing a film adaptation of another video game.
