The rock band – featuring members Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt – was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (May 1) in Los Angeles.
During the ceremony, Ryan Reynolds took to the mic to pay tribute to the band.

I think it’s like the bedrock of what they are.”
If you didn’t know, Ryan featured Green Day’s 1997 hit “Good Riddance” in Deadpool & Wolverine.
While on stage, Billie Joe noted that the event “kind of like being at your own funeral.”
“This is for my mom,” he added. “This is like my mom’s Super Bowl right now.”
Flavor Flav was also in attendance at the ceremony along with Billie Joe‘s wife Adrienne Armstrong, Tre‘s wife Sara Rose Lipert, and Mike‘s wife Brittney Cade.
