Lifelong Chicago Cubs fan John Hauldren was thrilled when Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong used 'Front to Back' by Hauldren's electronic music group, Levity, as his walkup music during a game. Although Crow-Armstrong is not typically a fan of dubstep, he appreciated Levity's work, choosing their music due to a personal connection through his girlfriend. Hauldren, who was raised in a White Sox fan family but remained a loyal Cubs supporter, found the experience particularly meaningful because of his deep-rooted passion for the team. The song's connection to Wrigley Field was further enhanced by Hauldren's history of producing music with Levity in Chicago, near the Cubs' home field. The recognition by Crow-Armstrong was celebrated by Hauldren, marking a significant moment in his career alongside Levity's performances at major music festivals like Coachella and the upcoming Lollapalooza.

John Hauldren, a lifelong Cubs fan, was surprised and excited when Cubs player Pete Crow-Armstrong used a song by his electronic music group, Levity, as his walkup music during a game against the Dodgers.

Crow-Armstrong, who usually isn't fond of dubstep, chose the song due to a personal connection through his girlfriend's cousin, who is friends with Levity member PJ Carberry's girlfriend.

Despite growing up in a White Sox fan family, Hauldren remained a dedicated Cubs supporter, often attending games thanks to his father's willingness to set aside team rivalries.

The song 'Front to Back' was created by Hauldren and Carberry in Chicago, close to Wrigley Field, adding a special significance when it was played at the stadium.

Hauldren shared his excitement about Crow-Armstrong's choice on Instagram, and the two have since communicated, with hopes of meeting in person.

Levity, which formed in 2017 at the University of Iowa, has performed at major festivals like Coachella and is scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago.

Hauldren considers Crow-Armstrong's use of their song as a walkup music one of his most memorable experiences, on par with playing at prestigious music festivals.
