Dolly Parton Joins Mötley Crüe for “Home Sweet Home”

Two icons from completely different corners of music, Dolly Parton and Mötley Crüe, have come together for a surprise duet that’s turning heads. Their reimagined version of the Crüe’s 1985 power ballad Home Sweet Home isn’t just a nostalgic throwback.

It’s a celebration of the song’s 40th anniversary, a tribute to their fans, and a powerful charity effort all rolled into one. The new Home Sweet Home video just dropped, blending Dolly’s unmistakable voice with the band’s original spirit, and it’s already making waves.

Dolly Parton Joins Mötley Crüe for New ‘Home Sweet Home’ Video

The Dolly Crüe duet breathes fresh life into a rock staple that’s meant so much to fans over the years. With Dolly lending her signature vocals to the track, it strikes a new chord that’s both tender and powerful.

Fans can look forward to the collaboration being featured on Mötley Crüe’s upcoming singles collection From The Beginning, due out just before the band kicks off their Las Vegas residency at Park MGM on September 12.

The new Home Sweet Home video brings together vintage tour footage of Mötley Crüe with scenes of Dolly working her magic in the studio. It also highlights the stories of homeless youth and the mission of Covenant House, the nonprofit at the heart of this release.

Supporting Covenant House with Every Play

What makes this release even more impactful is that it’s more than just a nostalgic duet. It’s a Covenant House charity single.

A portion of the proceeds from the song will go directly to the organization, which provides housing, support, and safety to young people experiencing homelessness. For Mötley Crüe and Dolly alike, giving back was a major part of what made this project special.

Mötley Crüe shared how much it meant to them that Dolly joined in on the song that has defined their careers. They called the 40th anniversary Home Sweet Home single a “career high,” and they’re hoping fans old and new will find meaning in the updated version.

Dolly Keeps on Rocking

If you’re surprised to see Dolly Parton on a track with Mötley Crüe, don’t be. She’s no stranger to rock. Her 2023 album Rockstar was filled with team-ups featuring everyone from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to Joan Jett and Rob Halford.

This latest collaboration continues that trend, adding a southern twist to a glam-metal favorite. Dolly herself said she was “honored and thrilled” to lend her voice to such a beloved classic.

What’s Next for the Crüe

While Mötley Crüe has been taking a break from touring (frontman Vince Neil has been recovering from a recent vocal procedure), they’re getting ready to hit the stage again.

Their ten-show Las Vegas residency begins this fall and, after that, they’re headed to Mexico for the Rock the Tides Festival. Fans can expect them to be back in full force, and this new release is just the beginning.

A Homecoming Worth Celebrating

The new Home Sweet Home video isn't just about looking back. It’s about connection, healing, and using music to make a difference.

Whether you’re a longtime Crüe fan or you’re just here for Dolly’s golden voice, there’s something undeniably powerful in seeing two icons come together for a good cause.

Go ahead and stream it, share it, and support it because this Dolly Parton Mötley Crüe collaboration hits all the right notes.
