DC Studios' James Gunn Reacts to Trisha Paytas Naming Her Newborn Son Aquaman
James Gunn is sharing his thoughts on Trisha Paytas‘ baby name.
The DC Studios co-CEO was in attendance at 2025 Comic-Con this weekend when he was asked about the YouTuber naming her newborn son Aquaman, after the DC Comics character of course.

“I saw that, yes. I think that’s cool! I mean, I hope he does okay in school,” James told ET. “I had a hard time with the last name Gunn, like Tommy Gun, BB Gun, Ray Gun. I’m like, ‘Okay, we get it.’”
“Is the middle name Gary or something?” he then asked. “Won’t he get made fun of at school? Do kids make fun of kids anymore?”
Trisha gave birth to her third child earlier this month, revealing the exciting news just last week. She is also mom to daughters Malibu Barbie, 2, and Elvis, 10 months, sharing all three with husband Moses Hacmon.
