The Cannes Film Festival has announced its jury for this year's event, which includes notable figures such as Halle Berry, Jeremy Strong, and Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia, all of whom will help decide the winner of the prestigious Palme d'Or. The jury, led by president Juliette Binoche, comprises a diverse group of eight members with several having previous Cannes experience. Other jurors include Italian actor Alba Rohrwacher, Korean filmmaker Hong Sangsoo, Congolese director Diedo Hamadi, Mexican filmmaker Carlos Reygadas, and French-Moroccan writer Leïla Slimani. Last year, Kapadia made history as the first Indian filmmaker in 30 years to be part of the festival's competition lineup. The festival will feature films by prominent directors such as Wes Anderson, Ari Aster, Joachim Trier, Kelly Reichardt, Richard Linklater, and Lynne Ramsay, and is scheduled to run from May 13-24.

The jury also includes Italian actor Alba Rohrwacher, Korean filmmaker Hong Sangsoo, Congolese director Diedo Hamadi, Mexican filmmaker Carlos Reygadas, and French-Moroccan writer Leïla Slimani, showcasing a diverse group with varied film industry experiences.

Payal Kapadia made a significant impact last year by becoming the first Indian filmmaker in three decades to enter Cannes' prestigious competition lineup with her film “All We Imagine As Light.”

Jeremy Strong was associated with last year's Cannes through his film “The Apprentice,” though he was absent due to Broadway commitments, highlighting the festival's ongoing engagement with top-tier acting talent.

The Cannes Film Festival, taking place from May 13-24, will feature films from acclaimed directors such as Wes Anderson, Ari Aster, Joachim Trier, Kelly Reichardt, Richard Linklater, and Lynne Ramsay, presenting a strong lineup for the Palme d'Or competition.
